1,200 SC EMPLOYEES GATHERED ASKS SERENO TO RESIGN





A duly signed joint spread across Supreme Court Justices in the Philippines seeking to oust Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno. A manifesto tied with a number of 1,200-strong Philippine Judges Association (PJA), composed of Regional Trial Court (RTC) judges asking Sereno to resign to preserve the higher court from political controversy and disgrace. 

Source said that the “The court employees were told to wear something red if they are for the protection of the institution and not just of one person."

Despite the mandate of the constitution for the outcry of independence and impartiality. The subsidiary offices initiated to wear red as their protest and call out for the Chief Justice to vacate the post immediately preserving the legacy of the office.


Supreme Court Employees Association (SCEA), the Supreme Court Assembly of Lawyer Employees (SCALE) and the Philippine Association of Court Employees (PACE).The source said the officers of SCEA and SCALE had initiated the drafting of a joint statement.
