CPP-NPA FOUNDER JOMA SISON FEARS FOR HIS LIFE IN PH, SAYS NO FOR DUTERTE's INVITATION

Communist Party of the Philippines founding chair Jose Maria “Joma” Sison said "thank you for the invitation" of  President Rodrigo Duterte to return to the Philippines to resume the peace process between the administration and the progressive groups CPP-NPA but declined the offer because he fears for his life along.

“I have long wished that we could meet again and cooperate closely in enabling the peace process to advance from one item to another in the substantive agenda,” Sison said to his former student at the Lyceum of the Philippines.

The President set a 60-day timeframe for the negotiators of both parties to work on the resumption of talks.
