Lacson DEFENDS Robredo: She is a "POTENTIALLY GOOD LEADER OF OUR COUNTRY"

“A potentially good leader of our country.”

This was the way Sen. Panfilo Lacson portrayed Vice President Leni Robredo, in light of President Rodrigo Duterte's comments calling her "incompetent."

On Tuesday night, the President illuminated that his offer to venture down when the nation changes into an elected type of government was for the nation to choose a transitional pioneer, and not for Robredo to succeed him.

“I don’t think she can ever be ready to govern a country. Reason: incompetence,’’ he said.

“It is difficult to measure her performance since she was removed from her Cabinet position,” Lacson said in a text message to reporters on Wednesday.

“One thing going for her, though, is her apparent and genuine concern for the less fortunate sector in our society, which to me is one solid foundation as a potentially good leader of our country,” he added.

The senator said it was “unfortunate” that Robredo had been sidelined “considering that she was elected along with the President.”

Despite party affiliations, he stated, the two top authorities of the land “should be working together for our country’s sake.”

  1. Lacson says,“One thing going for her, though, is her apparent and genuine concern for the less fortunate sector in our society, which to me is one solid foundation as a potentially good leader of our country,” The poor CANNOT lift the country out of poverty. The wealthy will lift the boat along with all of its citizens.

Lacson further said, "Despite party affiliations, the two top authorities of the land “should be working together for our country’s sake.” NOT with a multi-party system. Besides Robredo was given the chance to work with the President, but what did she do? She worked against him. Robredo loves her party more than her country.
