SERENO SAYS DUTERTE DITCH MILITARY IN DANGEROUS POSITION, upon re-opening TRILLANES MUTINY CASES

Ousted Maria Lourdes Sereno said that President Rodrigo Dutete put the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) in a dangerous situation when he issued Proclamation 572 revoking the amnesty of Senator Antonio Trillanes IV and directed the agency to get Trillanes arrested yet
without consultation from the military.

She added that the re-opening of the cases Trillanes had undergone during the time then President Arroyo, including two coup d'etat from Manila Peninsula and Oakwood would send confusion to laws of the country since some of the cases relating to court-martial would be possibly re-opening, despite amnesty was given and granted.

Sereno cited the amnesties given to AFP chief of staff Carlito Galvez Jr. and Senator Gregorio Honasan for their participation in the failed coup in 1989 against former President Corazon Aquino's administration could are in danger of getting revoked too.
